Full-Time, SF Bay Area (Remote)
About Peer AI
We're a Bay Area-founded, remote-friendly company backed by investors with deep roots in both technology and life sciences. Our platform is live with top-tier pharma customers today, and we're growing fast in a $23B addressable market spanning document authoring, submission workflow management, and agency interactions with the FDA and EMA.
Our Vision
At Peer AI, we are working to clear the path for important scientific and medical discoveries, so that treatments reach the patients who need them as quickly as possible.
Our Values
Drive Impact: We focus on delivering real results for our users. Making their work easier, better, and more meaningful.
Be the Expert: We lead with deep expertise, curiosity, and honesty to guide others toward the best outcomes.
Go for Great: We take pride in pushing past good enough to deliver standout work in every detail.
Win as a Team: We succeed together. We build trust, share ownership, and help each other grow every day.
The Opportunity
This is Peer AI’s first dedicated marketing hire. You’re not inheriting a playbook; you’re writing it. The role sits squarely at the intersection of product marketing and growth marketing, which means you’ll own both the narrative that makes us credible and the engine that makes us findable.
Our buyers are regulatory affairs and medical writing teams at pharma, biotech, and CRO organizations. The most critical thing for Peer AI’s growth is to understand them better than anyone else building in this space, and translate that understanding into positioning, campaigns, and sales tools that actually resonate.
You’ll work directly with the founders, with high executive visibility from day one and the opportunity to build a marketing function as we scale.
What You’ll Do
Define the product story and own positioning
Develop the core positioning and messaging that makes Peer AI distinct — grounded in how regulatory teams actually describe their pain, not how we describe our product.
Build and maintain a messaging architecture that scales across segments (pharma, biotech, CRO), personas and channels.
Own all GTM launches: define the narrative, coordinate cross-functional readiness, and drive adoption of new features with customers and prospects.
Create the sales enablement assets that help close deals: battle cards, one-pagers, decks, objection-handling guides, and competitive positioning.
Own the competitive narrative: track alternative solutions (including in-house and legacy tools), arm the sales team with clear, current differentiation that holds up in head-to-head evaluations.
Be the authority on our buyers and market
Run ongoing customer and prospect research (interviews, win/loss analysis, and customer advisory conversations) to develop a sharp, nuanced view of how regulatory teams think, buy, and adopt new tools.
Define and sharpen the ICP in partnership with sales: who we’re going after, why, and what triggers a purchase decision.
Track the competitive landscape and synthesize it into clear, actionable intelligence for the sales team and product roadmap.
Be the person in the room who can credibly say: “Here’s what our buyers actually care about, and here’s what they’re skeptical of.”
Build demand gen programs that support our GTM motion
Design and execute demand generation programs — across organic content, paid, industry events, and partner channels — that reach regulatory and quality leaders at target accounts.
Work closely with sales to ensure a consistent flow of quality leads and smooth handoffs.
Develop a content strategy rooted in genuine domain expertise that positions Peer AI as a trusted voice in regulatory operations and drives inbound interest from target accounts.
Build a targeted events and conference strategy: identify the industry moments that matter (DIA, RAPS, SCOPE) and maximize our presence and ROI at conferences.
Build dashboards, track funnel metrics, and use data to make the case for what to invest in next.
Ship fast and iterate faster
Treat campaigns the way product treats features: form a hypothesis, run the experiment, learn, and adjust. We expect fast cycles, not polished quarterly plans.
Test message variants, channel combinations, and audience segments with a bias toward learning. Know when to scale what’s working and when to cut what isn’t.
Maximize the ROI of every marketing dollar. You’ll operate lean, which means relentless prioritization and a strong instinct for what deserves your time.
About You
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
Have 6+ years of marketing experience with a core in product marketing — positioning, messaging, GTM launches, sales enablement — combined with meaningful experience in demand generation or growth.
Are deep in AI-first workflows: you actively use off-the-shelf and custom built agents to accelerate your work, and you see AI as a force multiplier, not a novelty.
You’re willing to roll up your sleeves and adopt new tools to bring ideas to execution (ex: Hubspot, Framer).
Are genuinely obsessed with understanding buyers: you invest in learning how they think, what language they trust, and what moves them. Your campaigns and messaging reflect that obsession, not generic category language.
Experience with account-based marketing (ABM) motions targeted at a defined set of enterprise accounts.
Have experience in enterprise B2B technology — you understand the long buying cycles, multi-stakeholder decisions, and trust signals that matter in enterprise sales motions.
Can move at startup pace — you’ve shipped imperfect things, run experiments, learned fast, and iterated
Are metrics-driven: you can build a basic attribution model, analyze a funnel report, and use data to prioritize what to do next.
Communicate with clarity and conviction — in writing, in decks, and in rooms with founders, sales reps, and customers alike.
Thrive in ambiguity and take ownership without being asked. You’re building the function from scratch, which is exciting to you, not unsettling.
Bonus Points
Direct experience in life sciences, pharma, biotech, or working with FDA/EMA regulatory processes. Familiarity with the regulatory submission lifecycle is a significant advantage.
You’ve been the first or founding marketer at an early-stage B2B SaaS or AI company before.

Location: Remote-first (US time zones), with quarterly offsites in San Francisco. Bay Area based strongly preferred.
Travel: ~25% for customer onsite visits, industry conferences and team offsites.
